Following the initial discussions of the interim shows, we arranged roles for everyone, my role was mainly communications - forwarding messages, helping to organise meetings, making sure people were coming in to give in their work and answer any questions. We also had a documentation team; Filip & Oliver, publication team; Aurelia, Iyesha & Jack D, an install team; Nayeon & Jack A, who mainly made sure that works which were to be mounted onto a wall got the required mountings sorted, and the plinths booked out and a labelling team; Molly. The rest helped with advertising, documentation, install and communications.
When we were happy with the confirmed works, I made a plan of the space - PS2 and made sure to arrange works in a way that would use up as much space as possible, but the works do not class with each other too much. I made sure to place the paper pieces together, and tried to separate the paintings as each were of different sizes, and were all very bold in composition and colour, and would need a space of their own to be appreciated equally. I made sure that the rest of the group were happy with the plan and sent it off to Molly for the map and labels.
Overall, I was extremely happy with how the exhibition turned out in the end. I was concerned that some of the pieces wouldn't arrive in time or not at all, and that the plan wouldn't look right in actuality, but everything worked, and everyone was happy. I do think there were a few things that could have been improved, such as communication within the group on both sides, perhaps titling within the exhibition, advertising, the poster could have been made clearer as it was very heavily focused on the religious side. But on the other hand, I feel that I should have made my concerns heard, and at least try to give constructive criticism where necessary, but I didn't feel confident to do so. In future, I will try and make sure that I make my voice heard, and become more confident in this area of team work.
